True stories about birth and giving birth

About birth stories

vek.jpgBirth stories are a selfish genre – they’re only good so long as they focus only on one person. This too is just about me, it was me. So maybe you don’t even see what you gave me.

I don’t know whether you know it, but the whole world turns around the help that you give, and how you give it. I suppose you do know, but there’s never enough feedback.
(For 34 years, certain fundamental concepts – “birthing house”, “selfless”, “femininity”, etc. – were completely empty for me. How strange. I think it was only as a child that I learned this much, from my mother, as what I have now learned from you over nearly a year.)
